Culture

We start by understanding the core beliefs and motivations of the constituency we are working with - be it a customer, community, stakeholder group, or a company itself. This begins with listening to our constituents first, identifying their values, and establishing genuine rapport.

Structure

Patterns and habits form within constituencies in order to achieve results, based upon that group’s values. By identifying how people align themselves, as well as influences within and on the group, we are able to map the dynamics of how a group orders itself to achieve its goals.

Performance

Determining how success is defined and measured is critical to aligning habits that lead to positive outcomes. People typically act according to what they are incentivized to do. Identifying the commonly held metrics that guide group action ensures a constituency is rewarding activity it values.

Vision

Key to articulating a compelling vision is garnering genuine buy-in among a constituency. We believe that buy-in can only be established once we genuinely understand why the constituency holds its cultural values and how that constituency structures itself and performs. All three factors - Culture, Structure, and Performance - inform how we implement a vision with lasting impact.

Tay Stevenson

Chief Executive Officer

Tay is a true and thorough northern Minnesotan with a beard that varies in length based on the weather conditions. A cum laude graduate of Dartmouth College, Tay began his professional life as a candidate for state senate in his home town of Brainerd, MN during the 2010 and 2012 elections. Afterwards, he worked extensively in nonprofit leadership and development.

Sam Brewer

Chief Operating Officer

Sam is a "recovering Southern California start-up person" with the heart of a Hoosier. He studied econometrics and policy analysis at Indiana University, and launched a Los Angeles based start-up shortly after graduating. Since then, he has developed into a seasoned political data manager with experience at the local, state, and federal level.

Nora Fitton

Senior Analyst & General Counsel

Nora is a retired artist turned attorney. She enjoys quality time with her cat and is still processing the Game of Thrones finale. She studied philosophy at Illinois State University and received her law degree from UIC Law, gaining experience working on everything from in-house counsel at the UFC to international arbitration in China. She has also worked as legal counsel to the Illinois Senate President.

Chase Blaeser

Analyst

Chase is an amateur potter with an extensive working knowledge of the best fishing spots of many of Minnesota’s 10,000 lakes. With a degree from Arizona State University in History, Chase is the longest standing employee at EPL and leads the team's research efforts.

Zach Berkow

Analyst

Zach is an avid cyclist with an ever-expanding mental map of the best ice cream spots. He graduated from Dartmouth College with a degree in Earth Sciences and a research focus on New England landscape evolution. Before joining EPL, he aided Fortune 500 companies in collecting and visualizing customer experience data.
